Leadership Training Programs

Carolyn brings hands-on experience designing and implementing leadership training programs across both private industry and government organizations. Her approach combines interpersonal effectiveness, business acumen, and measurable outcomes to build leadership programs that develop leaders at every level — from first-time managers to senior leadership — producing results organizations can track and defend.

Drawing on this experience, the following framework outlines the core pillars she considers essential to building a comprehensive, results-driven leadership training program:

1. Interpersonal Effectiveness Training: Self-awareness assessments, leadership style/philosophy development, unconscious bias training, ethical decision-making training

2. Self-Directed Learning: LinkedIn Learning, podcasts from internal leadership

3. People Management Programs: Training on handling reports (SOPs, 1:1s, challenging conversations), performance management & feedback delivery (reviews, PIPs, recognition), delegation & workload management

4. Peer & Social Learning: Peer mentorship/accountability programs, cross-functional cohorts, external executive coaching plans for leadership

5. Communication & Influence: Presentation and public speaking, negotiation skills

6. Business Acumen Training: Financial literacy and company-specific knowledge, strategic decision-making and cross-functional fluency

7. Change Management (Kotter): Leading teams through reorgs, process changes, and new tooling

8. Career Pathing: Building out career pathways for leadership within the organization

9. Program Evaluation Plans: Proving program ROI: retention, engagement scores, promotion rates, manager effectiveness surveys
