AI Adoption
"Since 2023, I have strategically integrated generative AI into learning design workflows to improve speed, quality, scalability, and cost efficiency across enterprise learning initiatives. My focus has been on operationalizing AI within instructional design functions—moving teams from experimentation to consistent, standards-based application.
I have developed structured prompt libraries to standardize and elevate outputs across projects, enabling teams to produce higher-quality instructional content more efficiently and with greater consistency.
For example, while designing and developing a product training program at Southwire in 2026, I implemented targeted prompt frameworks to support complex research in electrical engineering and to generate high-quality visual and video assets aligned to learning objectives. This approach reduced development timelines and minimized reliance on external production resources while increasing instructional relevance and customization for employees.
In addition to application design, I have led capability-building efforts by training instructional designers and project teams on effective AI integration in their day-to-day workflows, ensuring AI enhances—not replaces—sound instructional design practices.
To support scalable adoption, I developed practical enablement resources including job aids and guidance frameworks covering prompt engineering, use cases, and best practices. These resources span tools such as Articulate 360, Microsoft Copilot / ChatGPT/Claude/Gamma, Midjourney / OpenArt.ai, Canva, and Adobe Creative Cloud, as well as other content-generation platforms.
Across all initiatives, my focus has been on establishing repeatable systems for AI use in learning and development—ensuring outputs are aligned to business goals, instructional quality standards, and enterprise scalability requirements."-Carolyn
